Methodology & Sources
- Sources
- Aggregated market data, on-chain metrics, blockchain node data (halving) and public composite indicator series (Fear & Greed, AHR999, CBBI).
- Coverage
- Bitcoin-centric cycle indicators plus total crypto market capitalization, dominance and BTC's correlation with gold and the S&P 500.
- Formulas
- AHR999 combines price relative to the 200-day DCA cost basis with a long-term growth model; CBBI is a 0–100 composite of nine cycle metrics; correlations are 30-day rolling correlations of daily returns; dominance divides BTC market cap by total crypto market cap.
- Update frequency
- Refreshes roughly every five minutes; daily indicator series (AHR999, CBBI, correlations, dominance history) add one point per UTC day.
- Units & timezone
- All monetary values are USD. Timestamps and daily buckets use UTC. 24h windows are rolling unless stated otherwise.
- Anomaly handling
- Exchanges that stop reporting are dropped from aggregates rather than carried forward; obvious outliers (bad ticks, decimal errors) are filtered before aggregation.
